Development of Wedding Dress Style

Initially , wedding dresses are not as complicated as modern ones, which features empire wedding dress with draped line, pleated sleeves and lower neckline, look like a copy of fashion garment styles, and made of silk and satin. By the end of 19 centuries, the texture of wedding dress revealed light and soft, wedding dress made of crepe and taffeta was getting more and more popular with brides.

At the beginning of 20 centuries, wedding dress was not long any more, it features short and functions a wedding ball gown, which made brides more charming and eyes-catching. In 1930’s, popular wedding dress features figure-flattering, while 1940’s wedding dress was designed with sweetheart neckline and long gloves. However, until 1990’s, wedding dress is not designed with big and puffy skirt, but features tight top and mini skirt, Chinese-style dress or combined type that means brides can assort their wedding dress and evening dress according to their demands.
